Our amplifiers:
Tweedy and Super Tweed
Made In America: Handmade and assembled in the U.S.
Choose your Driver: Order your amp with an American sound, British sound, or Jensen driver,
all with ALNICO magnets. Customer specified drivers are available at an additional cost.
Environmentally green: R.O.H.S compliant materials.
We deliver a bonified tube amp with fixed biased circuitry.
Our Amps are tube rectified: Not solid state resulting in a highly desired tone.
American made components: Whenever possible U.S. made products are used including transformers, cabinet, drivers, chassis, finishing, silk screening/engraving, and labor which results in component quality that greatly exceeds overseas "offshore" products and workmanship. We're proud of this and we mean it.
No circuit boards: We use point-to-point shielded wiring!
No magnetic induction: Stainless Steel and Copper chassis, mirror finished. These metals do not aggravate potential noise situations.
Elegant controls: The artist can choose between the American brown sound, British Rock, or a blend of the two reminiscent of classic vintage sounds. It takes no time at all to sit down, plug in and know what hell does what!
Robust: Over engineered in a nutshell. They are capable of creating 2 to 3 times the output power of the intended design. (Depending on tubes!) Electrical components (Entire chassis) are shock mounted. Plus, circuitry prevents turn on voltage spikes when powering up which greatly enhances amplifier and tube life.
Current circuit protection: If you plug in the wrong tubes, the amp will know and will not come to life, which stops the unsuspecting user from permanently damaging their amplifier or components.Including tubes..
Audiophile Performance and looks: Delicious tone, chime and break up with an extremely low noise floor, a must have for studio recording. Your other gear looks great. Your amp should too!
Created for the Blues and Rock musician
12 watt, 6V6GT in class A push-pull configuration.
Amplifier features 2 gain channels, A simple, single, but very effective tone control, a variable Growl control, gain 1, gain 2 and a master volume control. On the rear the amp is loaded with an IEC power jack, user assessable fuse holder, a XLR balanced pre-amp out, a phase switch and 4,8 & 16 ohm speaker outputs.
Same kick ass chime, crunch and growl as the "Tweedy", but with twice the power and the option of a larger tone cab capable of housing four 8 inch or two 10 inch guitar drivers..... It will hurt your ears if you need it to.
24 watt output, with true 5881's.
We offer our amplifier packages in many and we mean many different packages. Wood and finish choices have been standardized, but special requests can be accommodated.
Birdseye Maple, Curly Maple, Maple, Mahagony, Oak, Birch, Poplar, Pine and if you so choose. Anything availible. Our cabinetry is milled on a CNC machine, hand fitted, assembled by hand, glued with some out of this world magic activating wand and then finished by hand. The joinery is outstanding, and strong. The wood might break but not the joint. Wittrock, our cabinet maker, knows what it's doing.
These apparatus's are one for the willing, two for the go, three to get jamin' and four to show!
We torture the ever living bejesus out of them. We try to destroy every design we come up with. Every component is at a minimum, running with a margin of safety equal to 100%
If a half watt resistor would do the job, we use a 1 watt. Potentiometers are just about guaranteed to outlast the buyer. An individual to remain unnamed spent his evenings for a long time toggling switches, plugging and unplugging quarter inch jacks, installing and removing tubes from their prospective tube sockets, installing and removing the baffle boards to test the threaded matching screws ect ect all in the hopes of destroying something. If he could break it we didn't use it.
To top this off, we randomly select an amplifier, place it in a isolation booth, run it at full power for 12 hours and then over driven at a rate of 20% for another 24 to see if it quits.
By the end of the test, the room heats up by an average 20 degrees... Cool Huh.
